Man Accused of Dealing Meth May Take Plea Deal

by Josh Colletta

A second-offense intent to deliver charge could be dropped if a Jackson man agrees to a bargain offered by Hillsdale County prosecutors.

The Hillsdale Daily News says 25-year-old Damien Honeck was arrested on August 16th after failing to stop while exiting a private driveway, as well as crossing the center line.

While he was detained, police found three ounces of meth in Honeck’s vehicle, and a blood sample was sent for analysis, as officers believe he was operating under the influence.

Honeck also resisted officers during the traffic stop.

The plea deal would retain a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Honeck is currently free on 10% of $115,000 bond.
