A Wednesday morning conflict has led to three felony charges against 38-year-old Markus DeGraw.
According to the Coldwater Daily Reporter, DeGraw allegedly found his wife — Rachel DeGraw — and his best friend — Mark Nolan — together, prompting him to drive to a Kinderhook Township home and point a pistol at them from his car window as they stood in the doorway. Authorities say he told them, “I am going to kill you.”
Prosecutors say he also sent threatening messages to his wife — all threatening in some way, including one that allegedly reads, “I’ll kill you if you keep playing games.”
A search of DeGraw’s Fremont home turned up a .40 caliber pistol, which may be the gun he used while making the threat on Wednesday.
DeGraw is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of using a communication device to commit a felony.
Bond has been set at $200,000 with a preliminary exam scheduled for September 19th.
