A 64-year-old man was pronounced dead after witnesses say he was run over by a loader around 10:45 Friday morning.
According to WTVB and the Coldwater Daily Reporter, the unnamed man was working at Real Alloy Coldwater South — a recycling facility — when he was hit by the piece of heavy machinery.
C.P.R. was attempted but was unsuccessful in saving him.
Neither the radio station nor the newspaper were able to reach a corporate spokesperson for comment, but an official with the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration confirmed that the agency began an investigation on Friday, and that it may take several weeks or months to conclude.
