Michigan’s Official 2019 Christmas Tree Has Been Chosen

by Josh Colletta

We know, it’s not even Halloween yet, and yes, the Christmas season does seem to come earlier every year these days, but this is the right time for the State of Michigan to choose the official Christmas tree that will sit on the Capitol grounds in Lansing.

According to WKZO, this 61-foot blue spruce was picked out by the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, kindly donated by the family of Jordan and Sarah Wolfenburg of Iron Mountain.

It’s the 4th state Christmas tree from Dickinson County and the 23rd from the Upper Peninsula as a whole.

It will be harvested on October 24th and put up for display on October 26th.
