Trump To Attend U.N. General Assembly

by Josh Colletta

President Donald Trump will be in New York for most of the week, among world leaders participating in the 74th annual United Nations General Assembly.

A climate action summit is on the agenda today — but Trump won’t be taking part. Instead, he’s hosting a session on religious persecution.

Another issue expected to be discussed over the next few days is the tensions between the U.S. and Iran. U.S. officials — including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo — blame Iran for the recent attack on Saudi oil facilities. Iran denies that they were behind the strike.

President Trump says he doesn’t plan on meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, but he hasn’t ruled it out.
